The mission of the International Relations Round Table is to promote interest in library issues and librarianship worldwide; to help coordinate international activities within ALA, serving as a liaison between the International Relations Committee and those members of the Association interested in international relations; to develop programs and activities which further the international objectives of ALA; and to provide hospitality and information to visitors from abroad.

    Applications are still open for IRRT's 2022 International Librarians Networking Program:



    Connect virtually with librarians around the world, share knowledge and experiences, and build your peer network.  Please consider to apply yourself or spread the word.

    How to Apply for the International Librarians Networking Program

    We are now accepting applications for the 2022 International Librarians Networking Program. Selected applicants will be matched with other participants to create a peer-to-peer partnership.

    To be eligible for the program, participants need to meet the following requirements::

    • Have access to the Internet
    • Able to communicate at least once a week
    • Willing to build professional connections
    • Be able to fulfill a 3 month commitment
    • New applicants only {last year's non-selectees are encouraged to reapply)
    • English proficiency
    • A willingness to work collaboratively to produce an informal poster by the end of the program and share it with the cohort of participants (template and guidelines will be provided)

    The deadline for applications is January 31, 2022.
