The mission of the International Relations Round Table is to promote interest in library issues and librarianship worldwide; to help coordinate international activities within ALA, serving as a liaison between the International Relations Committee and those members of the Association interested in international relations; to develop programs and activities which further the international objectives of ALA; and to provide hospitality and information to visitors from abroad.

    Dear Councilors,

    I am sharing the latest update from the Forward Together Working Group. I attended the session last Friday.  Here is the recording, chat transcript and summary from that session.

    The Forward Together Working Group would like to thank everyone who attended Friday's session about ALA Committees. An estimated 66 current councilors (35% of council) attended this session. There were a total of 100 participants, including staff, former councilors, and active members. 

    As a reminder Forward Together belongs to Council, this is the time for you all to provide your feedback. All councilors are expected to attend at least two sessions, your input is important throughout this process. 

    Please note there was a technical glitch with the recording and the last 15 minutes or so are not available. The chat transcript was saved in its entirety and working group members were taking notes throughout the session.
