  • 1.  Participation request - LIS student project about overseas LIS credentials

    Posted Apr 18, 2011 12:07 PM

    Dear LIS professionals,

My name is Dana Goblaskas and I’m an MLS student at Southern Connecticut State University. I am studying the transferability of graduate-level Library and Information Science degrees accredited by the American Library Association (ALA) and the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) and would like to ask your participation in a brief survey.

I’m interested in hearing from LIS graduates from the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom who have worked – now or in the past – at libraries “across the pond,” as well as from library employers who have hired, or have considered hiring, employees with foreign LIS credentials.

The surveys are hosted at SurveyGizmo.com and can be accessed through the links/addresses below. Both surveys are completely voluntary, confidential, and anonymous. Each should take 5-7 minutes to complete.

I will be happy to share the survey results if there is interest.

Please follow the links below to access the survey. They will close on April 30, 2011.

    Many thanks for your participation.
