Leaning International: Building an International Sister Library Relationship

The IRRT's International Connections Committee and the Sister Libraries Committee seek three panelists to participate in the following panel to be held at ALA Annual 2022 in Washington DC (June 23-28, 2022).

Highlighting the diverse and multicultural perspective that building an International Sister Library relationship can bring to libraries and the community, this program provides information professionals in all stages of their career, examples and benefits of how establishing a Sister Library relationship or international partnership, can engage collaboration and innovative ideas across borders. The session will focus on topics like locating and establishing sister library relationships; building on existing relationships; maintaining a relationship in a restricted travel time; and finding key resources curated by the IRRT Sister Libraries Committee.

Panelists are encouraged to present their personal perspectives and experiences with international sisterships and/or partnerships. For consideration, please submit a brief description of your international librarian partnerships with this form by March  18th, 2022. Accepted panelists will be notified around April 1st, 2022. Questions regarding the program should be directed to Katie Dow at kdow@scgov.net
