FAFLIG has invited Arrighetti to share her work with FEDLINK and the Federal Library Leadership Working Group's "Top 10 Reasons Federal Agencies Need Libraries."

Since September 2016, Arrighetti has held her current position as Director of the Ralph J. Bunche Library at the U.S. Department of State.  Before returning to the State Department, she held a number of positions at the National Defense University Library: Director (2015-2016); Chief of Research and Instructional Services (2011-2015); MERLN (Military Education Research Library Network) Librarian (2004 – 2011); and Reference Librarian (2003-2004). Her first library position was as a page at the James Duncan branch of the Alexandria City Library when she was in high school.

Arrighetti was elected to the Library of Congress' FEDLINK Advisory Board in 2016 and currently serves as the Vice-Chair.  In 2017, she proposed the establishment of the FEDLINK Federal Library Leadership Working Group to build a strong coalition that advances the development of library programs and services and advocates for the future of federal libraries.  She continues to serve as the chair of that Working Group.

Before obtaining her Masters of Library and Information Science degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., Arrighetti spent nine years at the State Department, primarily as a Public Affairs Officer for the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs.  She also has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH.

The FAFLIG Executive Committee looks forward to welcoming Arrighetti (and you as well) to its next meeting.
