The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    • We've updated the IFRT website to include a new Resources Tab
      • Content for this is still in very flexible. Let us know if there's something you want to see on this page!
    • We're continuing to promote the activities of the Round Table on social media and Connect
      • Including nominations deadlines and strategic planning efforts
    • We're meeting monthly to keep everything on track
    • Designed an IFRT branded Banned Author Birthday printable calendar for 2019

    Upcoming

    1. Working on some tweets with graphics for the Midwinter Meeting ALA Spotlight
    2. Working on a campaign to solicit IFRT pictures from members for addition on ALA Connect and for future marketing/communication
    3. We'll continue with posts celebrating banned author birthdays.
    4. We'll continue with IFRT Thoughtful Thursdays
    5. Marketing for the Annual Conference events:
      1. Capitol Steps
      2. Breakfast and Raffle
      3. IFRT Chair's Program
    6. We're getting a Production Services designed template for the IFRT Report to be distributed via Informz template
