Colleagues:
I am pleased to present the attached resolution for Council to consider.
While we have seen many victories in our efforts to protect and preserve our right to read in this County, there continues to be attacks on and the First Amendment and this core value of our profession
This resolution is a fairly comprehensive (though not exhaustive) resolution detailing the issues we in our profession are facing, and a reaffirmation of our commitment to our values and the fight we find ourselves in. It also acknowledges and thanks those who have joined us in this effort.
I hope you will consider supporting this resolution and encourage those units you are involved with and represent to do the same.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Cordially,
Peter Coyl
IFRT Councilor
