Hello Council! I hope you're all having a good holiday season. The Core Values Taskforce has reviewed all the comments and feedback submitted on the newly proposed Core Values. I've attached the preamble text with the most up-to-date values. We are working on our report to Council, which will have more details about how the group came to these values and definitions.
We understand there were a lot of strong feelings about this work. The Taskforce deeply appreciates all of the thoughtfulness that went into the feedback you gave. The group had many lively discussions about your comments. Our hope is for Council to adopt these new values at LLX, with the recommendation that interpretations be created to give more breadth and depth to them (similar to the LBOR).
In the meantime, please use this forum to discuss. Would be delighted to have a conversation here before we get to Council floor.
