As recently reported (CD 11) at the 2024 LibLearnX Council meetings, the following Councilors have been slated as candidates for the upcoming 2024 ALA Executive Board Election:

The first candidate receiving the highest number of votes in each category will be elected to a 3-year term (2024-2027).
The Virtual ALA Executive Board Candidates Forum will be held on Thursday, February 1 from 2:00-3:00 pm CT. Please Zoom register here for the forum.
The forum gives Councilors an opportunity to hear the views of the candidates and to ask questions prior to voting. To pre-submit questions for the candidates, please complete and submit this link by January 31. Candidate biographies are posted at the bottom of the 2024 Council documents page.
Per the ALA Bylaws, Council is to elect Executive Board members from the body of Council. The forum will be recorded for those councilors unable to attend live.
Councilors will cast their vote electronically. By now, all current Councilors should have received an e-mail from "ALA Governance Office" containing your voting credentials for the ALA Executive Board Election. If you did not receive this e-mail, please contact governance@ala.org.
Ballots will open after the conclusion of the Executive Board Candidates Forum on February 1, 2024 and close on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 9:00 am CT. Results will be shared on the ALA Council Connect community from the Head Teller.
