and myself Ramin Naderi, it is my pleasure to present the results of the 2023 ALA Executive Board Election. The ALA Executive Board Election opened immediately following the Executive Board Candidates Forum on Sunday, January 29, and closed Thursday, February 2 at 9:00 a.m. Central Time. The Council Election Tellers Committee met on Thursday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time to review and certify the election results.

For the 2023-2026 ALA Executive Board election 136 ballots were returned. 
 

The first THREE (3) candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to serve 3-year terms (2023-2026) and seated on the ALA Executive Board at the conclusion of the 2023 Annual Conference. Their terms will end at the conclusion of the 2026 Annual Conference.

The following THREE (3) candidates were elected to serve a (3)-year term: 

They are:

• Sophia Sotilleo
• Steven Yates
• Stephanie Chase
