  • 1.  IF Report - Follow Up Questions

    Posted Jun 29, 2021 10:58 AM
Martin, I wanted to ask this during Council but it took me too long to get my thoughts together and raise my hand -- what is the timeline for feedback  for the IF & Social Justice subgroup regarding 19.6?   Are we free to post it now for feedback and, if so, where should feedback be directed?  After feedback is received what is the next procedural step for this work?

Thanks so much to the subgroup for their work.  I look forward to sharing this draft with my membership.

    Hi Eileen,

The Intellectual Freedom & Social Justice Working Group has circulated a draft of our report to the groups represented on the working group, so I would suggest submitting comments and feedback on that document. This will certainly be an iterative process and we do not currently have a timeline for feedback.  As this working group was approved by the Executive Board and appointed by President Jefferson, the co-chairs (myself and Valerie Bell) will consult with the executive board about next steps and will communicate those to Council when we have more information.  We are currently on the agenda for the July Executive Board call, so I would expect to know more after that meeting.

    Thank you,

    Martin
