The Youth Council Caucus, comprised of ALA Councilors who are members of AASL, ALSC, and/or YALSA, exists to ensure that youth issues are adequately addressed in ALA Council. Anyone can join us in our ALA COMMUNITIES Connect space. In response to our EDI Sunday Conversation, we are shaking up our seating on Tuesday, June 25, during Council 3. We are calling all members of the 3 youth divisions to come sit front and center with us. We will be grouped around Virginia Moore, who was a teacher 10 years, a school librarian since 1965, and has served on ALA Council for 32 of the years since 1983 (with only four years off for a break). We invite all interested in youth council caucus and in youth issues to join us Tuesday front and center.
We will be happy to briefly discuss any youth issues coming to a vote during Council 3 as you arrive. See you there!
