Hello all,
For those who can offer a historical perspective, is it usual for councilors to correct the president on the pronunciation of their names in ways that are not neutral in tone? In Council III, I heard polite correction (i.e. tone neutral) but also correction in tones of exasperation (?) and perhaps even anger.
Is this standing practice meaning were former presidents Wanda, Loida, Jim, etc. corrected in the latter two ways if they mispronounced a councilor's name?
My thanks for your insight.
Best,
