    The Sociology Librarians Discussion group will host a conversation with Sebastian Karcher and Dessi Krilova of the Qualitative Data Repository for our Annual meeting. The discussion will hosted via Zoom on Wednesday, June 8 at 12PM Eastern. Please register to receive the Zoom link for this meeting.

    The Qualitative Data Repository (QDR) is a dedicated archive for storing and sharing digital data (and accompanying documentation) generated or collected through qualitative and multi-method research in the social sciences and related disciplines. QDR provides leadership and training in-and works to develop and publicize common standards and practices for-managing, archiving, sharing, reusing, and citing qualitative data. Through these efforts we aim to expand and improve the use of qualitative data in the production and evaluation of research, and in teaching.

    Sebastian Karcher, QDR's associate director, and Dessi Kirilova, QDR's senior curation specialist, will talk about QDR's approach to curating qualitative data and working with qualitative researchers. They will also talk about how QDR works with research data and subject specialists at libraries to help serve researchers.
