Ways to Get Involved with ACRL RIG

  • 1.  Ways to Get Involved with ACRL RIG

    Hello,

Are you a new or current library resident or fellow? Consider getting involved with the ACRL Residency Interest Group. Please circulate to other residents.

    What is ACRL RIG?

ACRL RIG is an interest group that works to support librarians and archivists in residencies and fellowships. Residents do not need to be a member of ALA or ACRL to join. There are many ways to get involved.

    1. Join the ACRL Residency Interest Group space on ALA Connect.

We encourage all residents to join the ACRL Residency Interest Group space in ALA Connect as this is the official channel for updates about RIG updates, meetings, socials, and other events. In ALA Connect, search for "ACRL Residency Interest Group" to find and join the community..

    1. Submit your information to the ACRL RIG Directory.

Consider submitting your information and photo to the ACRL RIG Directory. This is a great way to find out where other current and former residents are located. We love to learn about new and current residents! Submit your brief profile.

    1. Volunteer to join a team for 2022-2023. We are currently looking for volunteers for the following teams:

      • New Members and Mentorship Team

      • Programs and Proposals

    1. Are you involved in residency activities and want to serve in a leadership capacity? Consider nominating yourself (or someone else) to be our next Incoming Convener. Review the ACRL RIG Convener Principles.
