  • 1.  (Updated) Request for signatures: Open letter to NIH on DMS Policy

    Posted Jul 15, 2024 01:15 PM

    Dear Colleagues,

    You may have seen a previous email about the open letter (https://doi.org/10.1126/science.adn5594) published in Science and written by a group of data librarians on the 2023 NIH Data Management and sharing Policy. We are still collecting signatures for a longer version of the open letter, which is available on OSF (NIHDMSP_OpenLetter.pdf). Thus far, we have received 76 signatures, and we are so grateful for the enthusiastic response from our colleagues.

    If you missed the first email, you can still add your name here: Open Letter Signature

    Just to recap, we are calling for:

    * Increased transparency about awarded DMS Plans
    * Increased training and resources
    * Increased support for repositories

    Thanks,
