To negotiate or not to negotiate, that is the question. Following a residency, the question can be even more crucial to librarians who may feel eager for a permanent role but unsure how to appropriately measure their skills and experience. If this is you, we invite you to join the ACRL Residency Interest Group (RIG) for the panel discussion Life After Residencies: Negotiating Salaries. This webinar features ALA-APA Standing Committee on the Salaries and Status of Library Workers committee members Jimmy Gonzalez-Vicker (University of Illinois Chicago) and Angela M. Jones (Northwestern University) in conversation to explore all things salaries for librarians: tips and best practices for negotiating them, insights on salary ranges by institutions (and how the negotiations differ within them), examples of negotiations gone well (or poorly), and more. Advance registration is required and the webinar will be recorded.
