Charge: To support current and former residents to network, share their expertise, gain national leadership and service experience, and prepare for transitioning to post-residency positions through: a) advancing resident education and residents’ professional success through inter-collegiate collaboration; b) creating programming and resources that center residents; c) advocating for current residents through a liaison relationship with the ACRL Diversity Alliance; d) providing opportunities to engage in research on residencies; and e) centralizing information regarding program availability.

    The University of North Texas, College of Information, Department of Information Science, Health Science Librarianship and Health Informatics Programs invites you to the Health Informatics Lecture Series for Fall 2025.
    Title of the Presentation:  The Future of AI in Medical Imaging

    Speaker:  Dr. Curtis Langlotz, MD, PhD., Senior Associate Vice Provost for Research, Professor of Radiology (Integrative Biomedical Imaging Informatics), Medicine (BMIR), and Biomedical Data Science. Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI, Standford University. Currently serves as President of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). He is a renowned imaging informatics leader and committed advocate for improved clinical communication. He investigates the use of deep neural networks and other machine learning technologies to detect disease and eliminate diagnostic errors through analysis of medical images and clinical notes.
