Hello Library Accessibility Champions!
As October winds down let's take time to discuss our individual accomplishments and participate in a quick poll about accessibility maturity models in our libraries.
Discussion:
There are many ways to advance accessibility for patrons and employees in libraries. Sometimes this practice can feel overwhelming, and for individuals or organizations that are beginning to implement accessibility measures, goals and pathways for success may be undefined. The results from our August poll indicated that the members of the Universal Accessibility Interest Group have varying degrees of responsibility and experience with accessibility practices, so we can both learn from and teach each other. This month we invite you to respond to this post and share your accessibility success stories. Feel free to brag about workflow and policy development, user services, technology, or an exciting connection that you made with someone in your organization.
Poll:
Take this poll to tell us about the accessibility maturity model at your organization and what kind of library you work in then view poll results.
Thanks for advancing accessibility in your organizations,
Warm regards,
Bridgid Fennell
