NC State University Libraries has just launched two Teaching & Learning librarian positions:
While distinct, together these positions will develop and deliver high quality instruction experiences to NC State's students, both in person and across digital platforms.
The
Librarian for Undergraduate Teaching & Learning will manage the Libraries' course-based instruction program for undergraduate students and other novice researchers, focusing on instructional design, pedagogical innovation, and learning assessment. They will serve as the Libraries' liaison to the First Year Writing Program, Introduction to Public Speaking, and other first year academic programs. In collaboration with Libraries colleagues, the incumbent will develop and share knowledge of pedagogical best practices and facilitate the sharing of instructional resources and expertise across Libraries departments.
Minimum starting salary: $70,000 annuallyThe
Librarian for Digital Teaching & Learning will lead the management and development of the Libraries' high-quality, innovative online learning objects and digital learning support. They will develop instructional videos and interactive tutorials, and support the use of instructional technology throughout the Libraries. This position serves as a liaison to Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) and will represent the department on teams that develop and manage web-based learning support.
Minimum starting salary: $70,000 annually
