Call for Participants
We are seeking participants for a survey titled: "Diversity and inclusion initiatives and students from underrepresented groups in online LIS education."
The purpose of this research project is to investigate the perceived effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives by students and recent graduates of underrepresented groups in online library and information science (LIS) education programs. This is a research project being conducted by Enid Ocegueda, Michelle Peralta, and Lili Luo.
We are seeking participation from individuals from historically underrepresented populations (this may include, but is not limited to, individuals from marginalized racial and ethnic backgrounds, people with disabilities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those with multilingual and multicultural experiences) who are currently earning an advanced degree from an online LIS program or who have earned an advanced degree from an online LIS program.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. By agreeing to participate in the study, you will be giving your consent for the researcher or principal investigator to include your responses in their data analysis. If you decide to participate in this research survey, you may withdraw at any time. If you decide not to participate in this study or if you withdraw from participating at any time, you will not be penalized.
This online survey will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete. An informed consent agreement will appear on the first screen page of the survey. No identifying information will be collected through this survey. The results of this study will be utilized for scholarly purposes only.
