    Dear Fellow Librarians, Library Staff & Colleagues,

    My name is Ruth Xing, and I am a Research & Instruction Librarian at UConn Library conducting a research study to better understand how academic libraries support language learning (e.g., by providing digital and/or physical resources). I would like to invite you to participate in a brief survey if you meet the eligibility criteria below!

    About the Study:
    This study explores librarian perspectives on the availability, usage, effectiveness, and equity of language learning resources in academic library settings. Insights gathered will help shape future best practices for supporting
    multilingual students, international students, language learners, and adjacent populations.

    Who Can Participate:
    Academic librarians and/or library staff at higher education institutions;
    Individuals with knowledge of, or involvement in, language learning resources or services;
    Not open to public or school librarians.

    What Participation Involves:

    • Completing a 10- to 15-minute confidential online survey hosted on Qualtrics.

    • Answering questions about language learning resources, accessibility practices, barriers, and innovations.

    • Participation is completely voluntary, and you may skip any question or exit at any time.

    Privacy and Confidentiality:
    This study is confidential, and every effort will be made to protect your confidentiality. Your name and IP address will not be collected. At the end of the survey, you will have the option to provide your email address for contact about potential future studies; this is completely voluntary, and your email address will be collected and stored separately from your main survey responses. Study records will be kept in a secured limited access location within UConn

    The land upon which UConn stands is the territory of the Mohegan, Mashantucket Pequot, Eastern Pequot, Schaghticoke, Golden Hill Paugussett, Nipmuc, and Lenape Peoples, who have stewarded this land throughout the generations. I thank them for their strength and resilience in protecting this land and aspire to uphold my responsibilities according to their example.
