    Colleagues,

Are you a person of color working in an academic library in a support role? If so, we invite you to take our test survey for a $25 Amazon gift card.

We seek 100 respondents to test our survey instrument for a Multi-State Workforce Study of Minoritized Academic Library Paraprofessionals. You are invited to participate in a research study about the experiences of minoritized individuals working in academic libraries (not in librarian roles).  By conducting this study, we hope to learn about your experience, your job aspirations, and barriers and opportunities for career advancement.

What you will be asked to do: This survey will ask a series of questions about your experiences in academic libraries and about your future aspirations. It will take you approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey.  All answers are voluntary.  The test survey closes at 11:59 on July 26, 2023.

We will collect your information through a Qualtrics survey. This information will be stored in encrypted cloud-based system. The only identifying information we collect is your email address, this data will be deleted after we distribute the gift cards. Please note only the first 100 submissions are eligible to receive a gift card.

If you have any questions about your eligibility to take the survey, please feel free to contact me! Please forward this opportunity to others you think would be interested.

This study is funded by an Institute of Museum and Library Services planning grant, RE-252396-OLS-22.

Please forward this message to anyone you know who may be eligible and please pardon duplicate postings.

    Thanks to all!
