Signal-boosting the ACRL AI Competencies // Call for presenters and discussion leaders

    Greetings, ACRL AI Interest Group!

I wanted to take a moment to signal-boost the finalized ACRL AI Competencies for Library Workers, which were formally released earlier this month: AI Competencies for Academic Library Workers - we've been fortunate to have many folks in our discussions who contributed to this work (as leads, contributors, reviewers, and more), and it's excellent to see these recommendations in their final form.

Along similar lines, Ginny, Amanda, and I (your IG co-conveners) will be structuring our upcoming discussion meetups around the four competency categories: Ethical Considerations, Knowledge and Understanding, Analysis and Evaluation, Use and Application.  We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in presenting a lightning talk (or leading a discussion!) in one of those categories - - if so, please take a moment to indicate your interest here, in our signup form!

Looking forward to seeing you at our next meetup!

Thank you for providing this signal boost, Heather!  The task force is extremely grateful to everyone who provided suggestions to us throughout the process.  We hope the document serves as a useful springboard for groups and libraries to develop more granular competencies and/or training materials.
