The 2026 ALA Annual Conference is coming up quickly. As you plan your schedule, we hope you will attend our two OCLC metadata sessions.
Please join us for the OCLC cataloging community meeting at ALA Annual in Chicago from 10:30 to Noon on Friday, June 26, in McCormick Place Convention Center, W 184 D. Topics will include upcoming Connexion enhancements, information about OCLC's planned BIBFRAME editor, the latest Dewey news, Metadata Quality projects, and more, along with ample time for questions. OCLC staff on the panel will be Morag Boyd, Amy Brown, Kate James, Alex Kyrios, Laura Ramsey, and Anne Washington.
On Saturday, June 27, Kate James will moderate a panel discussion Transforming Metadata: Evidenced-based strategies for implementing AI in metadata workflows at 2:30-3:30 pm in McCormick Place Convention Center, W 195. Our expert panel will discuss promising use cases for AI, professional ethics, and implementation considerations.
