Hi everyone,
Heather Sardis, Amanda Makula, and I, your Conveners for our AI Interest Group are excited to Kickoff this year's programming and meetups with a September 30th Lightning Talk meetup!
Many of you have shared your interest in presenting at a future group meet up and we had a great time learning about new tools or uses for AI tools at last year's April Lightning Talks meetup.
We would love for you to sign up for a 5 minute Lighting Talk for our September 30 meet up!
It's easy to do -- just head over to the Lighting Talk Sign Up in our Sep 30 Meet Up Agenda Document. Add your: Name and Email address, Lightning Talk Title, and optional - a link to slides or materials if you like -- you can also choose to add a link or materials later on or after your talk.
Amanda and I will use the first lightning talk slot to kickoff the group for this year and share some things to look forward to.
We're looking for up to 5 more Lightning Talk presenters.
What to talk about?
-- An example of how you're using AI in your work
-- A ethical issue related to AI and your thoughts, resources to explore
-- An example of a favorite AI tool you're using and its benefits / things to consider when using it
-- An example of how your institution is adapting to changes as AI becomes more prevalent
-- An article or book you read recently and why you think it's important to conversations about AI in college and research libraries
-- .... anything you are inspired to share related to AI in Academic Libraries...
-- Questions? Want to brainstorm a topic? Let us know! Happy to chat.
Can't wait to learn from and with you all!
~Ginny, Amanda, and Heather
