Self-Checkout Options at your Library

  • 1.  Self-Checkout Options at your Library

    Posted May 29, 2024 02:32 PM

    Hi all,

We are in the process of reducing circulation services desk hours. so we are is scoping out self-checkout options for our library. For background we have a very small print collection but a large technology/equipment collection.   Has anyone invested in a locker system or another method for self-checkout that keeps items safe and secure?

Also, has anyone used a low-cost/no-cost self- checkout model and if so, can you share your successes and/or pain points?

    Thanks!
