    Hello,

Are you an academic librarian who uses hearing aids in your work life?

We are two hard of hearing academic librarians who use hearing aids in our daily work lives, whether on site or remote. We are seeking to interview other academic librarians who use hearing aids about their lived work experiences.

If you are an academic librarian who uses hearing aids in your work life and are willing to be interviewed about your experiences, please contact us directly at jcirasella@gc.cuny.edu or lafullington@brooklyn.cuny.edu. (Please do not reply-all to this message! Feel free to contact us using your personal email address.) If you know someone who may be interested, please forward this message to them.

Those selected for interviews will receive a $100 electronic Visa gift card after the completion of the interview, which we expect to last 60-90 minutes.

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and recorded for transcription and analysis purposes. All participants will be assigned a unique identifying code, and the transcripts will be anonymized. When this research is discussed or published, no one will know that you were in the study.

We have obtained Institutional Research Board (IRB) approval for this study, and participation is entirely voluntary. Participants may withdraw from the study at any point, without penalty.

    Thank you,
