Good afternoon, I will be attending the ALA conference later this month with the objective of networking and making new connections with librarians who would be interested in opportunities for VR use by their patrons in their library spaces. Our NSF infrastructure grant supports our development of a Virtual Reality research platform, by which researchers can collect experiment data from participants remotely. Thus participants don't have to come in person into a lab. Many participants can participate from their homes. However, folks who do not own a VR headset who want to participate may check out a headset from their library or maker space, or, can come to a library in person to do the experiment. We want to have discussions with librarians and get input on how best to execute this. We will be in the exhibit hall (flyer attached) but I would love to have some 1 on 1 meetings (lunch? dinner?) with those especially interested. I look forward to meeting with you!
