    Hello everyone! I hope the new academic year is going well for you and that the fall season is as lovely as it's been here in Illinois. 

    I'm writing for the nominating committee to ask for another volunteer (or two!) to run for ANSS Secretary. We had one candidate whose circumstances have changed and is no longer able to run. 

    Secretary responsibilities are listed on the ANSS Manual for Officers, Chairs and Committee Members. This is a great way for someone newer to ANSS to learn more about the work of ANSS as a whole. 

    Please contact me (here or at jhagman@illinois.edu) if you have questions or are interested in running. There is a short turnaround time since we're past the initial deadline to submit a slate of candidates. If you 'd like to run, please let me know by no later than 09/30.
