    Posted Jan 27, 2025 08:33 AM

    Hello all,

We have not received any submissions yet. Please consider presenting! Our First Friday Forums have been very popular and successful, and we would like to bring in new voices.

The ACRL Health Sciences Interest Group is calling for First Friday Forum presenters for spring and summer 2025. Are you knowledgeable and passionate about a subject relevant to health sciences or medical librarianship? We'd love to have you!

Available dates and times (all times in ET / New York time):

    • March 7, 1:00-2:30pm
    • April 11, 1:00-2:30pm
    • May 9, 1:00-2:30pm
    • June 6, 1:00-2:30pm
    • July 11, 1:00-2:30

Requirements: The topic must be relevant and specific to health sciences or medical librarianship. E.g., "Instruction for Undergraduate Nursing Students" or "Participating in Community Health Fairs" would be within the realm of acceptable topics; simply "Instruction for Undergraduates" or "Community Outreach" are not.

Forums are ninety minutes in length. Be prepared to present for the first hour (recorded) and host a discussion for the last thirty minutes (unrecorded). You may present alone or with co-presenters. Session formats can be a presentation with slides, a panel discussion, or lightning rounds. For lightning rounds and panel discussions, your proposal must include all presenters–we will not find or match you with other presenters. If you would like to suggest another format, please email jules.bailey@fsu.edu

Preference will be given to ACRL HSIG members.

    Submit your proposal here: https://forms.gle/ZZ9jA6zASCCkCaEE6

Submission deadline: January 31, 2025 at 5pm ET.

We will inform you by February 7, 2025.
