    Dear Library Colleagues,

The 2021 LAUC-B Conference Committee is thrilled to announce that registration* is open for our biennial conference. This year's theme is, "Reimagining Libraries Through Critical Library Practices."

The conference will be held online October 5-6; registration to the conference is free, and open now! Click here to register

Librarians' activities are embedded in and inherently tied to socio-political circumstances. This conference will emphasize and examine critical librarianship through the lens of social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racist work. Click here for the program, which has more information on the conference schedule and content. Attendees are asked to review the conference code of conduct in advance of the conference.

We have an inspiring program lined up; keynote presentations will be delivered by Clara Chu from the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign, and Lalitha Nataraj, from California State University, San Marcos.

We hope you will join us for what is sure to be an exciting and challenging event. Please spread the word and forward this email to anyone you think may be interested!  Our conference hashtag is #laucb2021.  Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of the committee members listed below. We're looking forward to seeing you on October 5-6!

*Registration will be capped at 300 attendees with 100 spots reserved for UC employees.

We recognize that the UC Libraries Forum is occurring the same month. "Reimagining Libraries Through Critical Library Practices," is a separate conference with a separate registration.
