    Apologies for the short notice, but I would strongly encourage you to register for these two orientation sessions, particularly the January 12 one, as they are relevant to statewide and regional chapters. If you cannot attend the live sessions, ALA will make recordings available afterwards.

    Chapter Councilor's Orientation--Wednesday, January 11

    The Chapter Relations Committee and the Chapter Relations Office have set up a Chapter Councilors Orientation for Wednesday, January 11, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Central Time (adjust for your time zone).

    This orientation is especially for new and incoming Chapter Councilors, but if you need a refresher this is a good opportunity to share your knowledge with colleagues. Chapter Relations Committee member and Chapter Councilor veteran Eileen Palmer from New Jersey will be the lead presenter.

    New Chapter Leader's Orientation--Thursday, January 12

    Welcome to new association leaders (Presidents, President-elects, Chapter Councilors, Treasurers, etc.)  The ALA-Chapter partnership is crucial to the success of state and regional associations as well as to the national association.

    This orientation webinar, to take place on Thursday, January 12, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Central Time (adjust for other time zones), is designed for Chapter leadership to learn more about ALA and the partnership and opportunities and support through ALA.

    Chapter Relations Committee Chair, Brianna Hoffman, Executive Director of the Washington Library Association, will lead the orientation with ALA staff.
