All:
This message is from the ALA Chapter Leaders group on ALA Connect. I would encourage everyone to subscribe to that group, if you are not already. While some of the announcements are specific to public or other non-academic libraries, a significant number are relevant to academic and research libraries in some way.
At our last meeting, a number of attendees indicated they would like to learn more about how ACRL statewide and regional chapters can actively participate in library advocacy. This webinar should be a good starting point.
Thank you very much.

Chapter Advocacy Exchange: Gearing up for 2023
Wednesday, November 30, 2022
3:00-4:00 PM CDT
With the Midterm elections behind us, state legislative activity for the 2023 sessions begins in earnest and promises to be as busy 2022. Defeating bills that threaten information access and the ability of librarians to serve their communities is a priority. Other issues, such as digital equity and eBooks, will demand attention as well.
How is your state preparing? Join ALA's subject matter experts for updates on key issues and ALA activities, including information on how ALA can support your state's legislative priorities.
