Join ALA Public Policy and Advocacy staff on Monday, July 22, at 3:00 PM CDT, for a critical briefing on federal library funding in Congress.
The House has proposed a historic cut of over 15% to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS.)
Unite with fellow library advocates to urge Congress to restore $211 million in funding for the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and maintain $30 million for Innovative Approaches to Literacy (IAL) for school libraries.
As a library leader, we encourage you to join with other leaders in your state and reach out to your U.S. Senators' district offices about this urgent funding threat. This briefing will provide you with all the tools and information you need to conduct your meetings successfully.
Please register even if you cannot attend live. The meeting will be recorded and sent to all who register.
Thank you for continuing your work to Fund Libraries by supporting federal library funding during this critical time.
