    The ALA Metadata Interest Group is pleased to share the recording and slides from our program for 2024 Core IG Week on "Metadata in Shared Digital Libraries."   

    Presentations in this session included: 

    • Describing Our Members, Ourselves: Maintaining a Shared Controlled Vocabulary in Explore Chicago Collections presented by Jessica BrodeFrank (University of Illinois at Chicago), Kate Flynn (University of Illinois at Chicago), Erin Matson (Chicago History Museum), and Gretchen Neidhardt (Northwestern University)
    • Creating and Sharing Date Metadata presented by Annamarie C. Klose (The Ohio State University Libraries)
    • Developing a Metadata Application Profile Supporting Interoperability, Research, and Data Harvesting for a Digital Library of Music Sources presented by Jesse P. Karlsberg (Emory Center for Digital Scholarship and Emory University Department of Music)
