  • 1.  Question - Textbooks in African American/Black Studies

    Posted Mar 28, 2024 06:09 PM

    Hi AASLIG Members,

Is there a directory/listing/repository of textbooks in African American/Black Studies that you are aware of? If so, may you link it? I am interested in finding out about common textbooks (preferably from 21th century) used by Professors in African American/Black Studies for their classes.

    Hi,

This is the only thing that I know of and it's now dated:

Nosakhere, Akilah, M. Elaine. Hughes, and Anne Page Mosby. 2004. African-American Studies Core List of Resources : An Annotated List of Selected Resources Used by Teachers of African-American Studies at Colleges and Universities in the United States during the 1998-99 Academic Year. Caldwell, N.J: Blackburn Press.
