    It is ACRL volunteer season! In the coming weeks you may be thinking about how you can help out and where to put your valuable time. To aid in your considerations the ANSS Membership Committee reached out to folks to learn more about what it is like to serve on an ANSS supporting committee. Look for similar posts form Membership Committee members in the coming weeks. 

    Today I am happy to share some information (in Question & Answer format) about the ANSS Nominating Committee.

    Q.  What do you like best about this volunteer opportunity?  

         A.  It's nice to contribute to the future leadership of ANSS, and work with people who are engaged with the community.

    Q.  What type of work is involved in serving on this committee?

         A.  Finding folks who are willing to run for office in ANSS--mostly emailing with people and some networking.

    Q.  How much time do you typically spend on committee work?

         A.  A few hours of work in the summer.

    Q.  Is there anything else you would like to share about this committee with future volunteers?

         A.  It's a nice opportunity to get to know people in ANSS and to learn more about the work of the leadership team.
