  • 1.  PROSPERO and Registries

    Posted Aug 14, 2024 07:43 AM

    Hello,

I have a doctoral student who wants to know if PROSPERO is still delayed due to COVID-19 research. Has anyone heard anything?

Personally, I think that PROSPERO is still the only registry many have heard of, and so people gravitate toward it. I try to tell people that what PROSPERO considers is very specific, but people ask about PROSPERO first.

I've been encouraging people to look at Open Science Framework (OSF), but I think there is a certain "prestige" bias. What do you all suggest/say when people want to know what registries one should look at for consideration?
