Get ready for a fantastic program at Library Evidence Synthesis Services Symposium (LESSS) 2026. This free, fully virtual conference brings together information professionals involved in providing evidence synthesis support and/or services at their institutions, across all disciplines and library types.

Registration closes on Thursday, June 11.

    Minor Timing Change

In order to bring you even more excellent presentations, we've added 15 minutes to the beginning and end of each day. LESSS 2026 will run from 11:15 am - 3:45 pm (ET), June 15 - 18 2026.

    Daily Schedule and Program

The daily schedule and program with abstracts are available now!

    Keynote Speaker

We are thrilled to announce Matthew Kibbee, Evidence Synthesis Coordinator, Cornell University as the keynote speaker for LESSS 2026!

Matthew Kibbee, Ph.D., is the Evidence Synthesis Coordinator at Cornell University Library.  He leads the library's evidence synthesis service, a discipline-agnostic service that, since 2016, has contributed to the research of students and faculty across Cornell's Ithaca and Tech campuses. Situated in Albert R. Mann Library, he supervises a team of four evidence-synthesis librarians who also provide general research support in the fields of agriculture, life sciences, human ecology and applied social sciences. Matthew is a member of the core planning team for the award-winning Evidence Synthesis Institute and is a regular instructor at the WHO/Cochrane/Cornell University Joan Klein Jacobs Center for Precision Nutrition and Health Summer Institute.

    Networking Event

Registration is now open for "Building a (Database) Creature with the Best Features: An Unscientific Experiment," an engaging networking event as part of LESSS 2026 to be held on Tuesday, June 16th, 9:15-10:45am ET! Join your fellow (library) scientists for a very unscientific effort to assemble our dream database platform, cobbled together from the ones we search every day. Share your expertise in this wide open forum!

This event will not be held in the main LESSS 2026 Zoom Event, so please register separately if you'd like to participate.

Led by: Hilary Kraus, Brown University; Michele McGinnis, Mayo Clinic; Kate Saylor, University of Michigan; Paije Wilson, University of Wisconsin-Madison

    Theme

This year's theme is Building Sustainable, Innovative Evidence Synthesis Services, inviting us to reflect on how we develop and strengthen our services and skills to address the growing needs from both researchers and our librarian community. By embracing intentional growth and community-driven collaboration, LESSS 2026 provides space to envision evidence synthesis support that is resilient, equitable, and future-focused.

More information about the symposium is available on the LESSS website.

We look forward to seeing you at LESSS!

    Sincerely,

    LESSS Planning Committee
