The Oregon State University Libraries (OSUL) Diversity Scholars Program (DSP) is now recruiting for the program's fifth Diversity Scholar (DS) for the 2021-2022 academic year. The DS 2021-2022 position is for a person of color who is enrolled in an online or distance learning library science master's program - a program that is American Library Association accredited and within the United States. The DS position is for one 9-month appointment, October 2021 - June 2022. The goal of this 0.5 FTE term-limited position is to provide mentorship, professional development opportunities, and first-hand experiences working in an academic library for an MLIS student. Diversity Scholars' projects support strategic initiatives of the OSUL while providing concrete and innovative opportunities for the DS to interact with librarians from various departments as fully integrated members of the library faculty. The Diversity Scholar 2021-2022 position will be 100% remote.

Deadline to Apply: Sunday, July 25, 2021

$13,700 for the 0.5 FTE 9-month appointment, 20 hours per week (600 hours total, October 2021 - June 2022); $2,500 for professional development; with benefits. Flexible scheduling available. Funding for this position comes from an OSU Libraries endowment fund.
