We have a winner! Our next meeting will be held on November 29th at 9am CST.
If you volunteered to lead efforts on revising sections of the Legislative Agenda, please take a look at your section(s) before the meeting. Kara Malenfant has added comments throughout our draft, which I believe everyone will find very useful.
One bit of feedback, which I think is particularly important, relates to the length of our document. Kara mentioned that this document was much shorter in the past, and that there is a desire within the organization to trim this document down a bit. Considering the fact that the ALA Legislative Agenda is only two pages long, our 21-page document seems excessive. So as you consider revisions to this document, do your best to engage in efficient writing. We should also consider truncating older information currently included as background for most of these sections. If we stick to three-quarters to one page for each section, we should be in a good position at the end. That will cut our document's total length in half!
