  • 1.  New course offered for history, embroidery, and information literacy

I'm happy to announce that  I am teaching a class on laid work, the historical stitches documented in the Bayeux Tapestry. This online class is offered by the Embroider's Guild of America. Never heard of them? I hadn't either until I came across an article published in their bi-annual magazine: Needle Arts. I am happy to report they offer many classes, year 'round, to learn many embroidery applications. My class is just one of the many classes they offer! I will have a segment in the third class that talks about using Makerspaces as one way to help others create their own patterns for embroidery.
