    Hi all,

I am sharing an upcoming event that will take place next week.

Naa Oyo A. Kwate comes the Library of Congress to discuss her book, "White Burgers, Black Cash: Fast Food from Black Exclusion to Exploitation" and how the author used a variety of Library resources to provide a well-researched account of racial dynamics that shaped the fast-food industry.

    Date: Oct 30, 2024, 01:00 - 3:00 PM via Zoom

The James Beard Award-winning book, "White Burgers, Black Cash" traces the evolution of fast food from the early 1900s to the present, exploring its long history of racist exclusion and its current troubling relationship with urban Black communities.

Made at the Library is an event series highlighting works inspired by and emerging from research at the Library of Congress. Featuring authors, artists, and other creators in conversation with Library experts, this series takes a deep dive into the process of working with the library's collections.
