📢 Librarians without Borders® Ursula Poland International Scholarship 📢
The Medical Library Association (MLA) is excited to offer the Librarians without Borders® Ursula Poland International Scholarship, awarding $1,000 annually to support international projects by U.S. or Canadian health sciences librarians. Named in honor of Ursula Poland, a dedicated advocate for global health information access, this scholarship aims to promote international collaboration and enhance health sciences librarianship globally. Applications are due by January 31st, 2025.
Eligibility:
- MLA members who are U.S. or Canadian citizens/permanent residents.
- Must have at least 5 years of continuous work experience in a health sciences library.
- Professional library or information science qualification (may be waived for exceptional candidates).
Application Requirements:
- Detailed cover letter explaining the goals of the international project.
- Statement on how the scholarship funds will be used.
- Project timeline and itemized expenses.
- Current CV or resume.
- Three letters of reference.
