Charge: To support current and former residents to network, share their expertise, gain national leadership and service experience, and prepare for transitioning to post-residency positions through: a) advancing resident education and residents’ professional success through inter-collegiate collaboration; b) creating programming and resources that center residents; c) advocating for current residents through a liaison relationship with the ACRL Diversity Alliance; d) providing opportunities to engage in research on residencies; and e) centralizing information regarding program availability.

    Hello all, 

    The Michigan Academic Library Association (MiALA) Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee is soliciting applications for the Membership Funding for BIPOC Library and Archives Students Initiative. In order to be considered for this membership funding, applicants must identify as a Black and/or Indigenous person, or as a Person of Color. Special consideration will be extended to those who serve underrepresented populations, are experiencing financial hardship, and are new to MiALA. 

    Applications close May 31st and you do not have to attend an LIS school in Michigan to apply. Spring 2022 graduates are encouraged to apply. Please share with your networks!
