Medieval France Book Recommendations for The Last Duel by Eric Jager

    Hello,

One of our professors is having his students read The Last Duel by Eric Jager for HIST 2310 Early World History this fall. I am looking for good books to purchase to support students' research on the topics in the book. I.e. Judicial trials, duels, rape law, church, feudalism, fealty, Hundred Years War, landowners, Medieval France, etc. Preferably these books need not be extremely expensive.

Here is a link to the library guide I am currently creating: https://libguides.jscc.edu/lastduel

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Any websites to "tour" medieval France and the like are also helpful. For many students, this is their first time being immersed in the Medieval era.

Ignore anything still present relating to the Roman Empire. If you want to contact me off the discussion, please do by email: rslagle@jscc.edu

    Thanks in advance,

    Ruth
