Evidence Synthesis Methods Interest Group

  • 1.  Mark your calendars! Feb. 10 Journal club discussion of "Overview of evidence synthesis types and modes"

    Posted Jan 16, 2026 01:31 PM
    Dear ESMIG members,
Does anyone else find it hard to keep up with all the new developments in review types? How is it possible that Grant and Booth's "A typology of reviews: an analysis of 14 review types and associated methodologies" is already 17 years old?
If you're feeling overwhelmed or could use a refresher, please join us for a discussion of Nussbaumer-Streit et. al's 2025 article, "Overview of evidence synthesis types and modes," from the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, https://www.jclinepi.com/article/S0895-4356%2825%2900303-8/fulltext.
    Tuesday, February 10, 2026
    Noon to 1:00 Central Time
    Hope to see you there!
    Erica
