    Libraries: Culture, History, and Society (LCHS) is now accepting submissions for volume 9, number 1, to be published in Spring 2025. LCHS engages in rolling review, which closes on Friday, July 26, 2024. A peer-reviewed publication of the Library History Round Table of the American Library Association, LCHS is the only journal in the United States devoted to the history of libraries/librarianship. LCHS positions library history as its own field of scholarship, while bringing together scholars from many disciplines to examine the history and cultural context of libraries as institutions, collections, and services, as well as the experiences of library employees and users. There are no limits of time period or geographical location for manuscript submissions, and research on libraries of every type is welcome

    Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through LCHS's Editorial Manager system at https://www.editorialmanager.com/LCHS. They must also conform to the instructions (https://www.psupress.org/Journals/SubmissionGuidelines/Libraries.pdf). LCHS uses Chicago Author-Date and Reference Style (17th edition, Chapter 15, augmented by Chapter 14).
    Prospective authors should read our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement and Action Plan (https://scholarlypublishingcollective.org/psup/libraries/article/6/1/v/ 299076/LCHS-DEI-Statement-and-Action-Plan). In the spirit of the LCHS EDI statement, each manuscript submission will be accompanied by a positionality questionnaire for each author. A submission without positionality questionnaire(s) will not be considered complete.
