The annual Dickens Project in Second Life is celebrating a tenth anniversary! Librarian have been involved throughout these ten years and help curate and archive virtual experiences.
This Friday Dec 9th, a session called "Designing Historical Simulations for Learning in Virtual Environments" will share how embedded librarians can support learning through research in authenticity, accuracy and archival. All are welcome to attend in Second Life.
When: Friday Dec 9th 1pm SLTWhere: VWEC Fireside Deck VWEC EduverseParticipants will teleport to the Dickens Project set in London during the Victorian era and also to see student work at San Jose State University's School of Information. The students are working on historical simulations and will do a reading on Dec 17th.
